As part of our Mission Action Plan, St James' Church has committed itself to working towards becoming a Child Friendly Church.
This rigorous award is accredited by the Diocese of Manchester (the Church of England body for most of Greater Manchester). More information is available on their own website.
We are formally launching our efforts with an event on Saturday 20th October.
Karen Beal, the Children's Officer from the Diocese of Manchester will be with us for this really important event, and there will be provision for children to enable parents to come along.
We'll be meeting from 10am for refreshments, and then we'll start in earnest from 10.30am to 12.30pm, followed by an optional lunch (sandwiches and drinks provided - please bring some snacks to share!).
Hopefully we will be both encouraged and challenged to enable St James' to become an accessible community for children and their families.
We hope that it is really well supported by the St James' Church community, especially PCC members, Sunday School teachers, parents, grandparents and anyone else, of any age, who cares about this important aspect of our Church life together.
If you are interested in coming along, please either sign up on the form at the back of church, or enter your details below:
